My kid (continued).
It’s been a few days since I’ve had any chance to post anything on here. So what better topic than to show the world pictures of my kid! This time you get a double bonus: a 3 second video AND a picture. And to keep you up to date, Rachel is 13 weeks along as of today. In roughly 27 weeks (or 189 days …or 4,536 hours …or 272,160 minutes — give or take a few) I’m gonna to be a dad!
Praise the Lord, the doctor said that everything looks healthy, and with any luck, Mama Downing should be feeling some relief from the morning sickness soon. As far as I know, she didn’t even throw up today!
Also pray for the nursery. I have a feeling that my rugged masulinity will have no effect on the decor that this kid will be forced to live in for his/her formative years. I suggested having a ‘manly’ room… like maybe a KISS nursery, but the rumor mill around my house is sounding more and more like it’ll be a Curious George or “jungle” theme.

So, that means that your music room is getting the boot? Sorry, I have to go along with the jungle theme. Chad wanted a POD room when Trae was born, but guess who won that argument? But they do have a poster on the back of their door now. Sometimes you gotta compromise!

4 kids later, we just never learned. Each pregnancy we seemed to be throwing the nursery together, putting up the crib, or God forbid, still painting and wallpapering while in labor.
It seems like you have forever until that cutie is here, but it sneaks up on you so quickly!
