Corporate Name Calling.

It’s like a real life “Coming to America,” complete with the big evil corporate company McDonald’s restaurant trying to shut down McDowell’s (“We are totally different! They have the Big Mac, and WE have the Big Mick! Totally different!”).

Except this time it’s about coffee. And that’s no laughing matter.

MUMBAI, India —  Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) is opposing Indian entrepreneur Shahnaz Husain’s plans to start a chain of coffee shops called Starstrucks, the Mint business paper reported.

  1. We have a Starbucks Coffee here in Loudi, Hunan, China. Well … kinda. It’s a small-ish coffee shop that decided to call itself “Starbucks Coffee” (I have yet to upload my photo of it). The place is a lawsuit waiting to happen!

  2. AHHHHHHH not like these corporations don’t already have enough of a corner on the market that some little mom and pop would put them out of business.
