28DecMore Cosmetic Work.

Okay… I think I actually like this one.

If you missed it, I changed the theme from the minimalist look to a colorful & crowded theme last week. It seemed like the right thing to do at the end of the year, not to mention RagamuffinSoul, FlowerDust & Cre8vE [creative] chaos all updated their pages, too. And if they jumped off a bridge, I would, too.

But being the obsessive compulsive anal retentive perfectionist that I am… and after a couple comments put the idea in my head that the new theme was a step backward… I decided to start over with a new theme altogether. Continue reading ‘More Cosmetic Work.’

27DecThe Postmodern.

I haven’t met a single person who has really been able to define postmodernism (aside from Driscoll or Sweet, who I have yet to meet in person, so they don’t count).

Most of my experience or consideration of postmodern thinking has been through the lens of the local church, so I’m sure that fuels the problem of finding a clear definition; my exposure has been limited by the fact that I’ve been pulling from a very small pool of opinions.

It’s understandable then, that I was so shocked to find a such a dead-on description of postmodern thought while reading about graphic designers on TheDesignEncyclopedia.org.
